Britain pushed Tuesday fighter jets to intercept an Air Pakistani passenger jet arriving from Lahore towards Heathrow Airport and escorted to Stansted Airport, southeast England.
The British Ministry of Defense said that "Typhoon Quick Reaction was launched this afternoon from the Royal Air Force base Konnendzba to intercept a civilian aircraft."
The ministry said the plane was intercepted and escorted safely to Stansted Airport.
The sites to keep track of trips that flight number 757 of the airline Pakistan International from Lahore to Heathrow diverted to Stansted southeast England, did not respond PIA immediately to a request for comment.
British police said the passengers undisciplined behavior was the reason behind the transfer path of the plane, said in a statement that there is no reason to believe it is the case of the kidnapping or terrorist issue, pointing out that "the plane is at the airport and officers are investigating."
